EE Boost Chooses C3D’s Toolkit for Simulation Software

Cary, North Carolina, USA: 7 April, 2017 – EE Boost Inc. chose C3D Labs’ line of products for the development of its high-performance simulation software of wave behavior in acoustic, elastic, electronic, and photonic applications.

“In our simulation, we have to deal with large, complex geometric environments,” said Dr. Tian Xiao, CEO of EE Boost. “We found that the C3D Modeler totally meets our needs. The results are what we expect, and the performance is good.”

Dr. Xiao notes that the API (application programming interface) is easy to understand and use. With the well-written documentation, EE Boost easily finds the right functions for its tasks.

Another reason the company chose C3D is that it comes with C3D Vision, which provides EE Boost ready-to-use functions for managing three-dimensional scenes and animations in its Qt-based GUI development. C3D Vision significantly improves the visualization capabilities of EE Boost software by increasing the rendering quality of 3D models, as well as speeding the processing of large assemblies.

“In summary, with robust, efficient, and easy-to-use libraries from C3D Labs, we can provide our customers fully-commercialized, high-quality software that focuses on our expertise in developing leading edge simulation kernels,” added Mr Xiao.

“It's great that an American company has joined the ranks of our customers from Europe and Asia. This makes C3D a truly global product,” said Oleg Zykov, CEO of C3D Labs. “During their evaluation, the EE Boost team seriously tested the robustness and performance of C3D. It was a real test, and our product withstood it.”

One of the most important advantages for EE Boost is the C3D Toolkit support for many platforms, including Windows, MacOS, Linux, and Android, both 32- and 64-bit systems – along with popular languages like C++ and C#. EE Boost is currently targeting the Windows system, but they have in the future the ability to extend their software to other systems.

About EE Boost

EE Boost develops and markets high performance software for simulating wave behavior in acoustic, elastic, electronic, and photonic applications. Its success comes from implementing leading edge technology in a user-friendly interface. The company aims to help customers capture, understand, and use the capacity of waves. This improves the performance of customers’ designs, optimizes the layout of their products, and performs detailed analyses through system-level simulations.

EE Boost products include the following software:

  • EE Boost Acoustic VR for efficiently calculating HRTF parameters of virtual reality applications
  • EE Boost Electromagnetics for fast simulation of electromagnetic fields in all frequency bands in the design, optimization, and analysis of antennas, radars, microwave circuits and devices, communications, remote sensing, metamaterials, and photonic crystals.

About C3D Labs

The C3D Toolkit is a set of key components for creating computer-aided design (CAD), computer-aided engineering (CAE), and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) systems to prepare control programs for CNC machines, and other engineering software. Starting in 1995, ASCON used the C3D base geometric kernel as a component of its KOMPAS-3D MCAD system.

Five years ago, C3D became available for licensing by third-party developers. Subsequently, additional functionality evolved into independent solutions, such as the C3D Parametric Kernel, C3D Visualization Module, and C3D Convertion Module. Together, these modules form the C3D Toolkit, a set of tools for developing engineering software. The C3D Toolkit is now in use by more than twenty companies and universities worldwide. C3D technologies are developed and marketed by C3D Labs, a resident of the Skolkovo IT cluster.
